With the power change in the Legislative branch of our government there has been new challenges to Obama's high speed rail idea. They say that more than half of the 10 billion used to create rails has gone to rails that do not support high speed trains. It has gone to build slow conventional trains.“That train is dead,” john kasich said. A couple of the projects have already grinded down to a stop now that republicans are in control of certains states with federal train money.

We need to continue with expanding our train network. For a nation that is all about being green and other stuff the rails are super effective in minimalizing energy used. Our freight trains can move 100,000 tones of freight 1 mile with 1 gallon of fuel. That is unbelievable. This country was built on the iron and steel of the rails and thats where it belongs. Who cares if its not high speed rails were building now. Those will come in the future. I mean you can't just build a high speed infrastructure over night. It just wont work but Barack Obama is starting a movement. No a revolution. A revolution continues it never stops it continues around and around forever and hopefully it will continue until our nation it connected from corner to corner by trains that can move passengers at an alarmingly fast rate for minimal fuel. Eventually it will be maglev trains which if there was a train from new york to florida it would take less than a hour to make it down there and would cost about 10 cents per passenger. Now that is where our country should be and Obama is trying to get us there. If you want to really move forward you have to commit to an idea. The republicans wont do that and thats why our country isn't getting anywhere with their ideas. Main idea is we have to continue with the infrastructure its the only way well get anywhere.
