Political Stuff - Obama Meeting with Rich People

Barack Obama announced that he is going to meet with 20 CEO's of fortune 500 companies such as Google and Intel. He is going to discuss trade issues, ways to hire people, clean energy, and taxes. He says the "primary engine of Americas Success is not the Government but the Ingenuity of American Entrepenuers.

http://money.cnn.com/2010/12/15/news/economy/obama_ceo/index.htm

Now that is a great idea. I never would have thought to do that. Its a good idea by instead of using laws and such to force businesses to solve these problems, He is going to talk to these people. Just talk. I guess its a good idea because the thing is that most of these people have money to spend and are the same as you and me but with large sums of money. Just like we want progress they most likely want progress to and are most likely happy to help the country as long as its not overly detrimental to their company. And Barack is right unless the Government is communist it cant solve our economic problems on its own. Now if Obama can get some help from the CEO's then we will be much closer to solving our economic problems then just having the government do all the work.

Political Stuff - Afghanistan, Pakistani help?

Barack Obama is releasing a review over the military strategy in Afghanistan. This report will show the progress made in this country for the 9 years that we have been fighting this war. This report was made by 16 non military agencies instead of the reports made by the military. This assessment shows negative results for this "conflict".  They believe that the only way we can start to make a real dent in rebel forces is if we have Pakistani help to keep the rebels from escaping into their borders for rest and resupply before they cross the border again to engage American forces.

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/12/15/world/asia/15policy.html?_r=1&ref=politics

I believe that if we can get Pakistan to support us then we might be able to make a difference in the war. But the problem is even with Pakistani help we are still fighting a war against people who don't want our help. A war is won not by the bigger army but by the people who want victory the most and if we don't have the support of Afghanis and Pakistanis or the people within our own borders then we are wasting away money and soldiers for a lost cause. The best idea would be to pull our troops out. The enemy will think they won but we tell them well leave them alone unless they do something against us. And if they do decide to reengage us by some form of attack on American soil then we head back there with force. But the key to this working is to make it public about how we are leaving them alone and what will happen if they attack us. Then if they do reengage us we will have public support on our soil to send a force back over there. But when we go back over there we go over there with a force that they could never imagine. And we have to deal with them such force that no one in that area will ever challenge our power again. Before the world wars we were not thought of as powerful but after we flexed our countries power no one doubted it. Now 70 years later I feel the world even some of our allies need to be shown the true might that is the United States. See people always question weather it is better to be feared or loved. Well as long as the world is shown our mercy then we should not be afraid to show our power when a little tiny country feels they can attack us. That way the world will fear us but most of the world is on our side and will enjoy the fact that we wont hold back all the time anymore.

Political Stuff - New Tax Deal

Barack Obama came to a compromise on friday that he thinks will pass. This new tax bill will increase unemployment for 13 months and extend the bush era tax cuts for 2 more years. It will also cut payroll tax by 2%. There is support behind this bill but certain democrats have voiced their opinion against it.

http://www.cnn.com/2010/POLITICS/12/10/tax.plan/index.html?hpt=T2

Barack Obama. WTF!!!!. Barack what are you thinking. Doing exactly what the republicans want all the time kinda doesn't get anywhere because they dont know what they are doing. I think you should grow a pair and deal with the problem. Barack obama has a plan and his plan is relatively good if he could get it to work but he meets republican opposition everywhere and instead of forcing his ideas on them and getting some public support he compromising and ends up with everyone hating him. He needs to stand by what hes thinking. We all know hes against bush era tax cuts but ends up extending them anyway. That is money we are throwing away. Oh its just another 700 billion no one cares. I care because your screwing up the country and me and my generation are gonna have to deal with it. Barack you need to be a man and stop asking congress to do stuff for you and jam it down their throats until you get what you want. Stop being a punk bitch

High Speed Rail Denied? - Political Stuff

With the power change in the Legislative branch of our government there has been new challenges to Obama's high speed rail idea. They say that more than half of the 10 billion used to create rails has gone to rails that do not support high speed trains. It has gone to build slow conventional trains.“That train is dead,” john kasich said. A couple of the projects have already grinded down to a stop now that republicans are in control of certains states with federal train money.

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/11/18/us/18rail.html?ref=politics

We need to continue with expanding our train network. For a nation that is all about being green and other stuff the rails are super effective in minimalizing energy used. Our freight trains can move 100,000 tones of freight 1 mile with 1 gallon of fuel. That is unbelievable. This country was built on the iron and steel of the rails and thats where it belongs. Who cares if its not high speed rails were building now. Those will come in the future. I mean you can't just build a high speed infrastructure over night. It just wont work but Barack Obama is starting a movement. No a revolution. A revolution continues it never stops it continues around and around forever and hopefully it will continue until our nation it connected from corner to corner by trains that can move passengers at an alarmingly fast rate for minimal fuel. Eventually it will be maglev trains which if there was a train from new york to florida it would take less than a hour to make it down there and would cost about 10 cents per passenger. Now that is where our country should be and Obama is trying to get us there. If you want to really move forward you have to commit to an idea. The republicans wont do that and thats why our country isn't getting anywhere with their ideas. Main idea is we have to continue with the infrastructure its the only way well get anywhere.

An End to Don't Ask Don't Tell? - Political Stuff

Senator Harry Reid of Nevada is opposing republicans and is trying to repeal the Don't ask Don't tell policy in our nations armed forces. He has met stiff strong opposition from John Mccain who doesn't want the policy to be repealed. Reid however has gotten support from the president on this matter who wants to repeal this policy. This bill has received support from various other senators and military personel who want to see the policy removed by the end of this year.

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/11/18/us/politics/18gays.html?_r=1&ref=politics

I personally support gay rights and have no problem with the lifestyle choices of gays. But i do not think that taking away the don't ask don't tell policy will have adverse effects on our military. Senator Ried said “We need to repeal this discriminatory policy so that any American who wants to defend our country can do so,”. This policy does not stop gays from defending our country. Anyone is allowed to do so but they can not say that they are gay to anyone in the military. A lot of people say they wouldn't care if they repealed the policy but i believe there would be a large portion of our military that would have a problem with knowing one of their fellow soldiers is gay. The don't Ask don't Tell policy isn't keeping gays from being gay its just keeping them telling people they are gay which could end up with inner conflict with in our military. I would rather see the policy stay then see on the news how a gay soldier died because a fellow soldier who is against gays didn't help him in a time of need. And i am certain we would see many stories of things like this. I don't like the policy anymore than everyone else but its in place to help the majority of people which is what we should be doing. Its a one for all kind of scenario. The needs of the many out weigh the needs of the few. I know thats its not a need but it would keep the peace like it has done. So for once i disagree with the democrats on this situation.

Political Stuff - Obama Campaigns on hip hop radio

Barack Obama on a hip hop station in Dallas told people they should vote democratic. He also talked about what it would be like if Republicans took control. He said he was willing to compromise on certain issues but on others he wouldn't. also he's out for the good of the people rather than just scoring political points. He is also campaigning on other political talk shows over the week.

http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2010/10/obama-campaigns-on-hip-hop-radio-this-morning.html

I think Barack is being fair enough in this little speech he gave and he's democratic so i don't think it is at all a problem that he is endorsing democrats. He said he's willing to compromise on certain issues but not on others which is exactly the stance he should take depending on how he feels about a certain topic. He said he is not going to cut education for tax cuts for the wealthy which is great. no one should ever cut spending on education. Where that money goes in the education system could use a little tweek here and there though. He also says he wants to continue unemployment and spending on our countries infrastructure which he thinks the Republicans will be against but those are issues that they will have to come to a compromise on. I also thought it was a little weird how they named this article. I mean you can't say it didn't have that little racist poke in there. But I don't think that it's a problem that our president is smart enough to go after a demographic like he is. So i think this shows how level headed but firm our president is and that he also is willing to compromise and is out for the good of the people.

Political Stuff - National Debt + 3 Trillion

This article talks about how the national debt is soaring out of control. People are blaming Barack Obama because since he started in office the national debt has increased 3 Trillion dollars. During the Bush administration the national debt increased by 4.9 trillion dollars. It says that Barack Obama is against extending the tax cuts for people who make over 250 000 dollars because it will increase the national debt by 700 billion dollars. He also argues that we now have to pay interest to China and what ever other country that is willing to buy our debt.

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20019931-503544.html

Well Barack this is deffinitly not the fault of the guy who stopped us from being balanced. Wait a minute it is Bush's fault for spending god knows how much on two pointless wars to protect his interests in the oil industry. During the Clinton administration we had a period of not being in the red but then everyone got up in arms because he decided that he wanted some which most people were against. I personally would have let him continue doing what ever he wanted as long as we weren't going into debt but people thought he presidents morale status was more important. Now people are against the Barack because he does not want to extend tax cuts for the rich. And now all the rich people are telling us that its not fair. Well rich people who cares about weather or not you have and extra 100,000 dollars or not. I don't. And guess what else life isn't fair but if you don't like it go buy a new life, you got the cash. Barack is on the right track by not extending the tax cuts for the rich. They honestly don't need it. They're the top 1% of people now if they get this extension on their taxes then there is a problem because most of the 99% of normal people don't want more national debt or are to dumb to know what national debt is.  So in essence Barack is on the right track not treating rich people the same as the average joe. And i hope that by the end of his term he rectifies our budget so that i can say haha screw all you stupid people that didn't believe in Barack Obama

Political Stuff - Obama Tax Cuts

Barack Obama cut taxes on peoples income by 116 billion and nobody noticed. At a Republican rally people asked about how their taxes were under the Obama administration. Less than one in ten people at this rally knew that their taxes were cut. About half thought their taxes stayed the same and about a third thought their taxes went up. Many people were surprised to find that Barack had lowered taxes in his stimulus package.

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/10/19/us/politics/19taxes.html

I can't believe how awesome this article is. It shows how people don't pay attention to what the president and other political figures are doing and how they formulate opinions against them with out all the facts. I personally did not know there was tax cuts  but then again i don't pay any taxes or have any income. Like the article said a third of people thought that their taxes went up when in reality they went down. That is a third of people that are now discontent with our president because they think their taxes went up because of him. Also what this shows us is that Barack Obama is actually out to make our country better for the people or that he is extremely intelligent. If it is the first one than that is good because he didn't publicly say hey everyone heres some money like Bush did. Bush probably did that to get people to think hey this guy gave us some money lets overlook the fact that he's a horrible president. And with that came more people that were like alright this guy is okay. By this i mean his tax cuts were good but with the side job of making him look better. When our president gives tax cuts to people and doesn't even look for recognition then you can think that he is really out to help the average joe. Or he could be a clever man and purposely not tell people then purposely leak out this information to the press and then people think about what i just said of him being a person actually out for the good of the nation and that he actually cares but in reality all that was a calculated public relations act. I don't know which one it is but i am hoping that its the first. Back to the main point of this. People who have the power to vote and to elect a president to lead our nation do not even know the politics. Many people just vote by party or some random reason and do not realize what a decision they are making. In conclusion all this boils down to is that people need to actually pay attention to politics before they make judgements about politicians or certain bills. Because this article shows people really don't have any idea what the hell is going on around them. They are oblivious to the decisions that directly affect them.

Political Stuff -Country, military 'deserve better' than Obama = Bullshit

This article states one air force pilots opinion that Barack Obama is destroying our nations military. He says that Barack Obamas decisions are going to have a dire affect on the Service men and women. Also that they deserve better than what we gave them as in Barack Obama

http://www.onenewsnow.com/Security/Default.aspx?id=1208586

Ok well this guy is stupid and obviously does not know the true power of our military. Heres the basic thought behind our military and spending. If we want a big military we'll go into debt. And according to this article if we don't have a big military we will be defenseless. Well i say make up your god damn mind. We can certainly go into debt or we can maybe leave ourselves with less defenses which is a stupid statement to start with. The technology we have in our military right now is far more advanced than any other nation in the world for example. We have the f 18 super hornet attack fighter jet, It is the best jet fighter in the world hands down. Just because we felt like it we built the f 22 raptor the only jet that can beat the f 18 why do we need that jet. We built a jet just incase we fight ourselves? Also that F 22 raptor is designed to take a 1 on 8 battle and win and the only reason it only takes a 1 on 8 is because it only has 8 missiles. So your telling me if we down size even with this technology we are going to be defenseless. No country has any chance of defeating us even if we downsize to think that we will not have defenses is a insane thought. This man that thought of this is downright stupid. Without a doubt. So who cares if we have only 150 jets instead of 3000 it doesn't matter if the enemy has umm none. They have weapons from the soviet era and guerilla tactics not million dollar assault vehicles that we need weapons to defeat. So in conclusion to say Barack Obama is leaving us defenseless is stupid and to say our service men and women are gonna pay is stupid so in all i'm pretty sure who ever wrote this is thats right you guessed it....Stupid

Political Stuff - Congress Power Reversal

Barack Obama and his staff are worried about the upcoming congressional elections because there is a good chance that the Republicans will take power in congress. This concerns Barack because now all of his big idea from this time on like a major energy bill will most likely be stopped every time they hit congress. This will inevitably force Barack to move onto an area of politics that is not as contested like his democratic ideals. Foreign affairs will most likely become the forefront of political activity for the last 2 years of his term.

http://content.usatoday.com/communities/theoval/post/2010/10/obamas-big-agenda-faces-big-political-roadblock/1

This is bad. Simply put having this happen will slow progress to a crawl. Even though the Republicans are against most of his bills doing something is better than doing nothing. At this point in time the political parties no longer try to help people directly. What they do is try to keep ideals for their party going and will deny the other parties ideas. Which is why there is so much conflict. Back to the subject though this power reversal will like stated in the article, force Barack to turn to foreign affairs where congress won't be as restrictive. That is exactly what we shouldn't be doing. At this point who cares about Iraq, Iran, or Afganistan. I dont. We have bigger problems to deal with here on our own soil. Nobody with any common sense which generally excludes republicans can say that we have to deal with other countries before our own. In this world the first country that should be dealt with is our own. We are in a recession and many people are jobless and there is minimal manufacturing here in the U.S. We should address these issues before we go off policing the world like we've become accustomed to. We no longer have to do such a thing. We have the UN. They can deal with this problem, we have our own problems. Screw fixing Iraq they can work it out on their own just like every other country did. So power reversal in congress is a horrible thing unless they allow Barack to continue with his domestic reforms that help us here in the U.S the supposedly most powerful country in the world that cant get its finances in order enough to not go red for one year. So until we know what happens in congress i can not say anything particular but because we already know how its going to turn out ill just say. Screw the future republicans that are going to block Barack and his domestic reforms. Let him go last time we allowed a president to pretty much do whatever he wanted(FDR) we got out of a depression so lets let it happen again. BARACK OBAMA RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!

Political Stuff - Sly Fox

Barack Obama is openly saying that he is against Fox network because they have conservative view that are being "destructive" to the growth of our country. Barack Obama says that Fox is like the Hearst empire in the 20th century who used they're news papers to promote a certain viewpoint to masses of people. Fox however says that its coverage is "fair and balanced".

http://www.politicsdaily.com/2010/09/28/obama-takes-on-fox-news-again-calls-its-political-views-destr/

Now Barack why the hell would you think that a completely conservative news conglomerate with almost unlimited resources use they're power to corrupt the view of the public to support they're views. I mean what the hell are you thinking. We all know that every single business in the world is good and could never do anything like that. Of course they are doing it and i am so very thankful that finally someone with unlimited reach has realized this fact. It doesn't take a genius to listen to a fox political talk show and realize that they have a political agenda. Everyone is allowed to have they're point of view but when a company has enough political clout to directly oppose the president and get enough people to follow them is a problem. no one but the senate and courts should be able to try and out power the president. Also all the news and other forms of media that go threw fox corrupt the public because every story has a twist that fuels fox's political agenda. The United States is ruled by the public and if the public is misinformed by some sort or media powerhouse then that company is directly affecting the country. And if its a conservative powerhouse like fox they are hindering the growth of our country by keeping things the same way which is the conservative view instead of letting the liberal president push his views and ideas which are a great way to try and push the country through its current state. We all know that if we kept everything the way it was through the Bush administration that we would never get through it and progress would come to a halt. So i say yes to Barack Obama's Claims and screw you to the white conservative bastards running that public corrupting network known as the "Sly" Fox

Political Stuff - Wall Street

Barack Obama is creating the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to create accountability and oversight for the consumer credit market. This new agency is supposed to keep company's from misleading and confusing consumers with pages of indechipherable fine print. This bureau will reinforce the new credit card law and will ban unfair rate hikes.

http://content.usatoday.com/communities/theoval/post/2010/09/new-obama-aide-wall-street-needs-tough-cop/1

This is a great idea i think. Barack Obama and the Elizabeth Warren the one who is tasked with creating the new agency are on the right track. This new bureau is designed to level the playing field so us normal people without degrees in law wont have to worry as much about all that fine print that companys throw at us just so in the future if something goes wrong they can blame it on us. The republicans oppose putting Elizabeth Warren as the new chairwoman of this bureau. hmm who would have guessed that would happen. They are calling her anti business. Well we have learned in history being anti business can be good at sometimes like i dont know maybe before Teddy Roosevelt was president. I know we all know those were great times when the railroads charged nice fair prices and so did Carnegie and his steel industry, those were great times just like now. Some people have to take a lesson from history and learn that not all business is good business and that some people on wall street are not always for the better good. I mean do these Republicans actually think about what theyre saying. all these issues we have now with unfair business and the mistreatment of consumers were around way back when the country first started to have big business. The stupid people think that letting business go is the best way to keep the country going well guess what that didnt work. All you have  to do is take a look around to notice that the businesses are not exactly helping the situation right now. The basic thought here is we need more government control over financial decisions because we have learned time after time that people are stupid, dumb and dont have a clue about what is going on. If the government regulates more then it will atleast decrease the damage done by all of us idiots. And for all the republicans that are like ooo well thats like communism and communism is bad, no your horribly misled mr republican dumb ass. Communism is an amazing idea on paper everyone is equal thats a good thing but the problem in the people that try to implement it are not the greatest people. And having a little communism in our society would be good then people wont have to worry about how the market is going to swing next and wether or not theyre gonna have a job tomorrow. So again mr Barack Obama and Mrs Elizabeth Warren i agree with your move and think that it can only help our current situation.

Political Stuff- Exports

Barack Obama is starting efforts to increase America's exports. He says that the way to tackle the world market is to use the talents we have and the work force we have to start producing again. He says the more we produce the more money we make and the more money we make the more people have jobs.
http://www.cnn.com/2010/POLITICS/09/16/obama.exports/

I think Barack Obama is on the right path here. In this world for countries that import and export a lot there is a very basic way to think about it. When you import more than in export you are sending more of your money out to other countries and you will eventually go into a deficit if you export more than you import you will gain money as a country in a basic sense. Our country was always a leading country in innovation and manufacturing. But lately China which has a huge work force has been taking all of our business. U.S. businesses have been out sourcing to China for to long and now it has caught up to us. If you look at almost everything we own now it is built or made in China. We no longer make things here in the good old U.S. so because of that we are losing all of our money to China. If we started manufacturing here again and  started to sell all of the great products we are capable of making to other countries all of they're money would be coming to us and our economic problems would stop. People think outsourcing is good because it saves businesses money but that saved money could be going to american workers. In the 1930s the U.S. was in a depression. No one was buying or selling anything it was a lot like it is today. All those Government funded programs helped but it never ended the problem just like it wont solve the problem this time. The depression only went away when the sleeping giant of manufacturing awoke to use its vast array of resources to produce weapons for the allies. After that everyone had jobs and there no longer were problems economically. Today we don't have anything to awake us from that deep manufacturing sleep that we have slipped into unless of course Germany decides to be a bitch again. To sum it all up to stop this never ending depression all we have to do is stop being penny pinching bastards and make something in America instead of sending all our money to China who then acts like theyre being nice to us by lending us money which they know as well as i do is gonna go straight back to them because face it. We dont keep our money any more we export it. And then we complain about not having any money and blame Barack Obama because there are still a lot of racist people so again i Applaud Mr Barack Obama for knowing that exporting brings us money. And i blame this all on the Republicans because it is theyre fault and they started the whole lets give China all our money thing.

Political Stuff - Taxes

Barack Obama is trying to get the Republicans to allow him to continue the tax cuts. And to approve legislation to help small businesses. the legislation is supposed to create an organization that will help small banks lend more to small businesses. The Republicans want to if the tax cuts continue give them to everyone including those who make over 400,000 a year. Barack Obama says that allowing tax cuts to high income families will increase the deficit more than 700 billion        dollars.http://www.voanews.com/english/news/Obama-to-Republicans-End-Political-Games-on-Taxes-103011619.html
I think that the Republicans are stupid. They are just protecting the people that financially back them during elections. Nobody in the world honestly believes that a person that makes over a quarter million a year needs a tax break. This country should be helping those who need help like people that need the tax break so they can ya know feed their families. I don't think that the person driving the ferrari with a half a million dollar house had trouble feeding themselves. At this point in this depression if someone has an idea that could help pull us out of it and into recovery we should take it because we know from history that when we dont do anything nothing happens. Just sitting around while the tax payers pay your salary isnt gonna get us any where so i applaud Barack Obama and his efforts though they are denied often by the Republicans to atleast try things even if they most likely are not going to work. I think we should do what we did in the 1930s just allow the president to pretty much do whatever he thinks is right unless its way out there and a horrible idea and if he doesn't get the job done to move on to the next man and have him give it a go. and about the small business loans its chump change compared to what we spend on bullshit so Republicans, you guys can go screw yourselves.
Political Stuff!!
